On 22 March 2024, Chinese Consulate General in Karachi held a farewell meeting for students from Gwadar Institute of Technology in Balochistan who are going to study in China. Consul General H.E. Yang Yundong attended the meeting.

CG Yang elaborated on China-Pakistan relations and welcomed the students to China for exchange and study. CG Yang hoped that they would cherish their time studying in China and contribute to the economic and social development of Balochistan Province and the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, so as to further bring the two peoples closer.

Principal of Gwadar Institute of Technology Mr. Aqeel Ahmad Khan introduced the vocational education cooperation with Chinese college, and said that the 10 students who are going to China came from different regions of Balochistan. He hoped to send more students to China in the future to train more practical talents for Balochistan, promote regional development, and deepen the iron-clad friendship between the two peoples.
