|Acting Consul General of China in Karachi, Mr. Pan Qingjiang, Visits Cadet College Petaro|
On March 18th, 2013, Acting Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General, Mr. Pan Qingjiang, visited Cadet College Petaro in Hyderabad Sindh, Pakistan.
Commodore Muhammad Afzal, Principle of Cadet College Petaro, extended a warm welcome to Acting Consul General Pan for his visit to the College, made a brief introduction to the College, especially to the Confucius Class in the school. Commodore Afzal expressed his sincere thanks to the Chinese Consulate General in Karachi for the active support and assistance to the Confucius Class. Commodore Afzal said that the Chinese language teaching class has been well received by the teachers and students in the school since its launch last August. He also said that efforts will be made by the College to enlarge the scale of the Confucius Class so as to enable more students to learn the Chinese language, better know about China and become goodwill envoys for the friendship between the Chinese and Pakistani peoples.
Acting Consul General Pan briefed Commodore Afzal on the current development of relationship between China and Pakistan and emphasized the importance of people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. Mr. Pan spoke highly of the school for being the first one in Sindh to launch the class of teaching Chinese language, expressing his hope that joint efforts will be made to achieve a more successful Chinese language class and more results in the cultural exchanges between the two countries.
Accompanied by Commodore Afzal, Acting Consul General Pan then visited the campus of the College, had interactive talks with the students who are studying Chinese language and encouraged them to study hard and make due contribution to the friendship between China and Pakistan in the future. Mr. Pan donated some books, CD and DVD about Chinese culture to the Confucius Class.
